On 1st July, Kingswood Photographic
Society has its third Summer Night Outings of the year. The location is
the spectacular Dundas Aqueduct and
Brassknocker Basin.
Summer may have started by then and we are
visiting the Kennet and Avon
Canal where it crosses
the River Avon via this scheduled monument. There are boats, bridges,
countryside and artefacts from the history of the canals. Sun is not
guaranteed. Wear comfortable shoes and mosquito repellent if you know it
helps you as there is a lot of water in the area.
Coming from Bristol via the A4 and the A36 it is possible
to go up Widcombe Hill, along Claverton
Down Road and down Brassknocker Hill if you
consult your maps for a shorter route. Otherwise, follow the A36 through Bath and out on the Warminster Road to the traffic lights at
the foot of Brassknocker Hill where the B3108 turns off 90 degrees left to Limpley
Stoke and Bradford on Avon . The canal
marina etc is accessed from another 90 degrees left turning off the B3108
shortly after the traffic lights so be prepared. Go straight ahead to the
car park. We will meet there for
7.00pm.
These types of evenings provide a great chance for
members to spend time together, for taking photographs and sharing photographic
knowledge or simply socialising with one other. Any questions about this
or other outings, please contact Hilary, hkcroft@gmail.com or 01380 722288.
For information about Kingswood Photographic Society,

Looking forward to
seeing you all this Friday at 7pm.
