This Friday at KPS ...

On 27th March, Kingswood Photographic Society is delighted that ten of its members have volunteered to make presentations of their work.  There may only be time for us to see eight because it is important for them not to feel rushed.

From what we have been told, it will be a fascinating mix of subjects and styles with a mixture of prints and DPIs.  What will be appreciated on the night is that those presenting will have had very different photographic experiences with some relative beginners whilst others have achieved distinctions with the Royal Photographic Society.  The important point is that they are all enthusiastic about what they do and we know they will show some very interesting work, which may only ever been seen at this meeting.

We know that other members will want to join us on this evening not only to demonstrate their support but also to offer comments to those who wish to have feedback on their efforts.

Visitors are always welcome and this type of evening gives an excellent opportunity to see some members’ work and to hear the feedback offered.  Kingswood PS meets Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.  The cost for this evening is £3.00.

We hope to see you there.

REMEMBER TONIGHT IS HAND IN FOR OUR AP/FT COMPETITIONS
There is no separate Intermediate section so we are all together!  For both prints and DPIs, members can enter up to three sets of three related images.  Each set should consist of four files, the three individual pictures and the assembled triptych.  The size of each file should be 1400 x 1050 pixels landscape, maximum 1050 high if portrait and all in jpeg format.  To assemble the triptych, this can be done in Photoshop, Elements or Lightroom.  In Lightroom, the easy way, is to do a montage in the print module, then choose ‘Print to File’.

Please refer to page 26 of the 2015 KPS programme for a full description of these competitions.

Good luck to everyone who enters ….
