This Friday at KPS .....

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome James Osmond, as their speaker on Friday, 10th October giving an illustrated talk entitled, The Art of Landscape Photography.

James says: “I have been a professional landscape photographer since 2002 and a digital photographer since 2006.  My approach to photography is best summed up in a philosophy that I call The Digital Truth.  This is essentially embracing digital techniques to make realistic photographs, in order to preserve the unique link between photography and reality. I see no reason to make up a scene or to force an existing scene into something it is not.  I always try, though admittedly don’t always succeed, to recognise something beautiful in the landscape and to capture it as accurately as possible so that it can speak for itself.  The digital techniques I use help me to achieve this goal.”

For further information about James Osmond, pop onto his website, www.jamesosmond.co.uk from which you’ll see why this promises to be a delightful evening.  We hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol  BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
