This Friday at KPS …

For our summer outing on Friday 13th September, KPS will be having an Instructional night shoot of Brunel’s suspension bridge at twilight.

As the final of the summer night out expeditions to create photographs, we will seek to capture the last of the cross-over lighting and deep hues as day light fades away.

We will meet at 7 pm at the FREE car park adjacent to the Nova Scotia pub in Brunel Lock Road, post code BS1 6XS for those of you who use a sat nav.

There are a plethora of foregrounds to use when taking pictures of the Suspension Bridge from this location.

The young and fit may choose to also take pictures of the suspension bridge from Sion Place in Clifton Wood. This will require a walk along the Portway and the ascent of the Zig-Zag rising the 250 feet to the upper level. Once there you will find limited picture opportunities, the main opportunities will be the Grommet and tourist taking pictures with suspension bridge in the background.

As the sun goes behind the surrounding hills at around 7.45 pm then there may be the chance that twilight reveals the timeless allure of the magic hour between day and night.  The evening will be led by Andy Beel FRPS mobile no. 07970 078 624.
