Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to be able to welcome for the first time Alan Stringer ARPS, DPAGB as their speaker on Friday 7th October, giving his illustrated talk entitled ‘Photography My Way’.
Alan describes himself as an enthusiastic amateur. He has been interested in photography for many years tackling, as do many amateurs, a wide range of subjects. Nowadays, he finds himself increasingly drawn to photographing people in the urban environment and relishes the challenge of waiting for the various elements to come together to make a lasting image.
Alan now works exclusively in monochrome and, in spite of pressure from all manner of well meaning friends and colleagues, is still firmly committed to darkroom work. He prefers to work on sets of pictures in order to thoroughly explore a location, subject, or style of approach.
Alan regularly enters National and International photographic exhibitions where over recent years he has won several awards.
This promises to be an excellent evening so we hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS meets Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are very welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
