This weekend (the iPad) changes everything

This weekend, Apple's iPad goes on sale for the first time. Write it down in the calendar. This little device changes everything, especially for photographers. Not since the first laptop has anything so seismic occurred in the computing world.

Why?
It's cheap. In the US it's only $499 for the basic model
Like an iPhone, it's easier to use than anything that went before it.
It's either on or off: no waiting for 2-3 minutes for it to start up and ,unlike your pc or laptop, you won't press Start to Stop.
It's small enough to take on holiday - anywhere - yet big enough to act as the largest LCD preview screen you ever saw and make fine tuned photo editing a simple task.
It's early days for the apps but again, like the iPhone, already there are hundreds of apps for photographers to create stunning imagery without paying £300 for a set of software that you only ever use 10% of and the rest is a mystery (I still have no idea what to do with a Clipping Path)
No more calls from anyone to say "how do I do this?" Because you click on an icon and it does what you need it to do.

What's the evidence?
Imitation.
Just watch the stores over the next few months to see hundreds of different iPad imitators appear.
