This Friday at KPS ....

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome Graham Fisher, as their speaker on Friday 16th March, who will be giving a digital image presentation entitled The rise and rise of the Camera Phone.

Graham will present his observations on the technical progression of camera phones and their suitability for high quality image-making. Comparison images taken by himself and members of Bath Photographic Society on camera phones and cameras will be used to illustrate the talk.

Graham is a Chartered Electrical and Electronic Engineer by profession and spent many years undertaking or managing Research and Development for telecommunications companies including T-Mobile and Orange. These days he runs his Innovation and Telecommunications Consultancy ‘BathCube’ and tries to make some time around client projects for his hobbies of hillwalking and landscape photography. Graham is a member of Bath Photographic society and jokes his work is instantly recognisable by fellow members as his holidays normally feature mountains in the rain.

This promises to be an absolutely fascinating evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.

TONIGHT IS A CHANGE TO THE PRINTED PROGRAMME when our Chairman, Steve Bridgen was due to be with us.  Steve will now give his talk Underwater Photography Plus later in the year.

THE OTHER ALTERATION is due to the decision not to hold a meeting on Friday 2nd March, because of adverse weather conditions.  This means that Tony Cooper will now be giving his talk The Spike Island Project on 6th April.
