Pam & Eddy say:
"We took this three week expedition in April 2017, nine years after our first trip to India, which had been entirely people orientated.

This time we wanted to experience some of the wildlife on offer, both along the Assam region of the Brahamaputra River and the Sunderbans National Park.  The Sunderbans is the world's largest delta formed by the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghana Rivers spanning both India and Bangladesh.  As well as experiencing the wild life, we were able to visit several isolated tribes comparing social attitudes from our last visit.

In the Sunderbans, we stayed in Bali agricultural village and went out daily on the village boat to explore the region.  In addition to the unique wildlife, we were able to get to know our hosts so that we could take informal (non posed) images around the village.  For our trip along the Brahmaputra we travelled on a small hotel boat exploring Kaziranga National Park and visiting the Aunati Monastery on Majuli Island and the unique Mishing people in the tribal village of Jamuguri isolated on an island in the middle of this vast river.

Although we travel to the same places, we always come back with completely different images in style and content.  Our prime interest is wildlife, but as always we were fascinated by the lovely people of India that we met along the way.”

This promises to be an absolutely superb evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
