This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted that John Long, ARPS, DPAGB, Hon PAGB, its President, will be showing the KPS Permanent Collection of Prints on Friday, 1^st December.

John says:  “I have been asked to step in as Colin Harrison has had to postpone his visit until next year.  Adrian and Vanessa have suggested that I show the pictures which I hold for the 'Kingswood PS Permanent Collection' .  I'lll also show the 'Bennet-Salanson Bowl Collection'.  It is probably around 2010 when they were last shown to the Society, but good pictures are always worth seeing again.



Perhaps I should explain that the 'Bennett-Salanson Bowl Collection' consists of the main winning print from each Members’ Annual Exhibition - yes that's correct, the photographers don’t get their prints back after the Exhibition.

The Committee often used to joke about the Print Collections which I hold under the bed in the spare bedroom.  Well, that's not the case any longer as the room is now my Son's bedroom, so they are now crammed into a cupboard in 'The Office'!

I'll also bring along the Albums which contain photographs and newspaper cuttings etc - any of which may be loaned out to KPS members to look at in their home."





You'll appreciate why this will be an absolutely fascinating and excellent evening so we hope you're able to join us.
