17 December 2016

This Friday at KPS ...

It is our last Kingswood Photographic Society meeting of 2016 on the 23rd before Christmas and, as always, we will have some light entertainment prior to stopping for refreshment and the seasonal break.

This evening, the ‘light entertainment’ will take the form of a Knock Out Print Competition.  Please remember to bring along a maximum of six images, which can be any size but A4 ought to be the smallest otherwise they will be difficult for you to see and judge.  The prints can be mounted or unmounted. There will be six stacks in which you should place your prints so that it ensures all of your prints will not appear together.

Our Chairman, Geoff Nash, assures us that the value of the wonderful prizes will come as a complete surprise at the end!

During the second part of our evening it’ll be the time to enjoy a ‘finger buffer’, share in the spirit of Christmas and relax so do come along and join in the fun.

THERE IS NO MEETING NEXT WEEK, 30 DECEMBER, BUT THE 2017 PROGRAMME STARTS WITH TWO GREAT EVENINGS:

On the 6th of January, Richard McLeery will present a selection of the accepted images from the five sections of the Cheltenham International Salon of Photography, together with all the award winners.

On the 13th of January, Peter Brisley ARPS & Sue O’Connell ARPS, EFIAP/s, DPAGB, BPE4* will take us to some less frequented destinations in their presentation entitled ‘Travels Towards the Edge’.

For further information about the Kingswood Photographic Society, which meets on Fridays from 7.00 for a 7.30pm start, please go to the website link, http://kingswoodps.co.uk/.

With every good wish for a Happy Christmas and a peaceful, healthy and Happy New Year, and may it also be filled with many photographic opportunities.
