On the 1st of
April, Kingswood Photographic Society
is absolutely delighted to welcome a member from Cheltenham Camera Club, Richard
McCleery, who will be presenting the 3rd Cheltenham
International Salon of Photography (CISP).
Over 8,000 entries to this Salon were received from photographers from
all around the world. It marked the 150th
anniversary of the Cheltenham Camera Club and a special commemorative A4
catalogue was produced to celebrate this occasion.
The 4th CISP is
currently open and the closing date for entries is Midnight on Sunday 10th
April, so there is still time to take part by going to the online entry page, http://www.photocompentries.net/?org=cisp.
Richard
says: "If you really want to improve your photography then try to see good
work in exhibitions or salons and consider entering. Tonight you will see a
range of great images, accepted from talented photographers around the world,
to help inspire. This is an evening not
to miss!"
Certainly,
after seeing the 1st and 2nd CISP, KPS members applauded
the high quality and variety of acceptances, so tonight promises to be an absolutely excellent
evening. We hope you can join us.
Kingswood
PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley,
Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors
are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
NOTE Tonight is the hand-in for the AP & FT Competitions so do remember to bring along your Digital and Print entries retrospectively. These competitions are for a related set of 3 images and members may enter up to three sets of photographs for both the AP & FT trophies. The rules are set out on page 26 of the KPS 2016 programme.
