Kingswood Photographic Society is
absolutely delighted to welcome for the first time, Sandie Cox ARPS, DPAGB, as
their speaker on Friday 15th January who will be giving a print talk
entitled This, That and Wildlife.
Sandie says: “I
have been interested in photography since I was a child but only in recent
years have I been able to combine it with my love of wildlife. I have been fortunate enough to travel to
many different parts of the world to study and photograph animals and although
wildlife photography is my first love I do enjoy taking photographs of other
things too.
I was appointed a
judge with Western Counties Photographic Federation several years ago and
decided that I needed to be seen to progress my own work and to that end
applied for an Associateship with the Royal Photographic Society and also last
year gained Distinction level with the PAGB.
I am on the
committee of the Western Counties Photographic Federation and together with
Ralph Snook organise the annual Members Exhibition (held at Buckfast Abbey in Devon ). I am also
the WCPF representative at PAGB committee meetings.”
This promises to be a superb
evening so we hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm
to around 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are most welcome and the cost for
this evening is £3.00.
