Kingswood Photographic Society is
absolutely delighted to welcome Steve Dury ARPS, DPAGB, as their speaker on
Friday 8th January, who will be giving a print talk entitled Fast Forward to 1642.
Steve
says: “I am
delighted to be returning to KPS where I consider myself to be amongst friends!
I have been a photographer for more
years than I care to remember, beginning club photography with Backwell before
moving onto Bristol PS via Clevedon.
I
have many photographic interests ranging from steam railways, motor sports,
music, industrial archaeology and a significant spell of re-enactment
photography. I also have fond memories
of several studio setups at Backwell where we had advice and support from John
Long and Geoff Cole who you may have heard of!
My
talk will be a light hearted journey through my photographic
experiences. This
journey will start with some of my very earliest images and after the break we
will come right up to the current day. I
am hoping that you will find the second half just a bit different from the
usual Society talk and perhaps a little more theatrical than the norm . .
."
This promises to be a fascinating evening and an
excellent start to our 2016 programme so we hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS
meet Fridays from 7.30pm to around 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley,
Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are most
welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
