Kingswood Photographic Society is
absolutely delighted to welcome back Leo Rich ARPS, DPAGB, APAGB, EFIAP/g,
BPE3* as their speaker on 6th November who will be giving an
illustrated presentation he’s entitled The
Idle Rich … life through my lens.
Leo
classes himself as a ‘Jobbing Amateur’ who will photograph anything that takes
his fancy, although he has developed a love of taking environmental people
portraits when travelling. He also enjoys
Wildlife and Natural History.
Leo
says: “I acquired an interest in photography whilst a schoolboy, and taught
myself to take, develop and print pictures.
I have been a ‘club photographer’ for many years and am an avid entrant
in photographic exhibitions throughout the World, receiving numerous
acceptances and awards. I am also a
Photographic Alliance of Great Britain Judge and have been the Selector for
National and International Exhibitions as well as their own Awards for
Photographic Merit scheme.
I do
not give ‘lectures’ but ‘talks’ which, besides illustrating some of my efforts
also demonstrate the idiosyncrasies experienced especially at the hands of
photographic judges.
I hope the photographs included in this post will
entice KPS members to come along rather than go down the pub!”
This promises to be an entertaining and excellent evening and, for further
information about Leo Rich, pop onto the website, http://www.leorich.co.uk/. We hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS meet Fridays from
7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are most welcome and the cost for
this evening is £3.00.
