This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome Mike Birbeck FRPS, FBPPA, FDPS and Gillian Birbeck ARPS, as their speakers on Friday 9th November.  They  will be giving a print talk entitled New York.

Mike says: “I am a Fotospeed Photographer, a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, President of the Disabled Photographers' Society, currently Chairman of Taunton Camera Club and on the RPS Applied panel for A & F distinctions.  My wife Gillian and I have been camera club members since Pontius was a pilot.

This talk shows images taken around the City of New York, both iconic and less well known aspects. There are around 200 prints, so blink and you might miss one!  I am one of those old school photographers who believe that to be a photograph, it needs to be printed, and all of my images are printed using Fotospeed papers and inks. Most of my pictures fall into the categories of 'people' or 'places', this talk falling mainly into the latter.

For further information about Mike Birbeck, pop onto his website, http://www.birbeckphotography.co.uk/,  from which you’ll see why this promises to be an absolutely excellent evening.  We hope to see you there.
