6 December 2014

This Friday at KPS ....

Kingswood Photographic Society has its final quarterly competition of the year on Friday 12th December.  No doubt our judge, Margaret Collis  ARPS, DPGAB, Hon EFIAP, APAGB, AFIAP, will deliver good news for some but bad news for others!  The question is, ‘who will receive the trophies?’  Maybe, one of our current leaders will be going away in high spirits?  Do come alone to discover the award winners and see members images.Visitors are always welcome and this evening gives an excellent opportunity to see members’ photographs and to hear the judge’s comments. Kingswood PS meets Fridays at 7.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. The cost for this evening is £3.00.
We hope to see you there.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING WEEK ...
Next week, Kingswood Photographic Society members are in a relaxed and party mood.

During the first half of the evening, there will be a special print competition.  Entries must have been taken on one of the events arranged by our Social Secretary, Kevin Poole, for KPS throughout 2014. This can include images taken on the days out or the summer evenings outings and must be taken by an attendee.

This KPS Social Outing Competition has been organised by Kevin Pool who requests members to:
1      Please put your name on the sheet on the KPS noticeboard indicating your intention to participate
2      Enter up to three prints in A4 format which do not need to be mounted
3      Prints should be anonymous but please put your club competition number on the back, along with a title if you wish
4      The competition will be judged by the whole club but you cannot vote for your own images
5      Prints will be mixed up and displayed two at a time in order to obtain to a short list
6      The winning image will be voted for on paper and once the slips have been counted the winner willl be announced
7      There a superb prize and it will be for the winner to keep so, let’s all get printing.

This is the second year that Kevin has generously arranged and donated a prize for the KPS Social Outing Competition so, with all of the above in mind, start searching for that one image that best embodies the true meaning of a social event. We are hoping there will be a really large entry given the numbers that attended the outings, just remember to add your name to Kevin’s list on the notice board or have a chat with Kevin about your entry.

In the second half, it is time to enjoy a ‘finger buffet’ and a jolly time, so come along and join in the fun.
