This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome Andy Marker ARPS, as their speaker on Friday 25th July giving an illustrated talk entitled Landscpe and travel photography.

Andy says:  “I joined Bristol Photographic Society in1982 and like most people at that time started with Black & White film and producing prints in the darkroom. I never tired of watching the image gradually appear in the developing tray.  This continued for several years but gradually I moved to taking and showing colour slides.  I was a relatively late convert to the digital world, buying my first digital SLR in 2007.

My main interest has always been landscape photography. In recent years I have been drawn more towards the intimate landscape rather than the big picture.

I have also just started taking people pictures at events like the 1940’s weekend at the Severn Valley Railway and the Venice Carnival.

I have been responsible for producing the Bristol Salon AV show since the mid 1990’s. This has lead to my interest in putting together short photo harmony style AV sequences of my own images.”

This promises to be an excellent evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol  BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
