In the first half, Mervyn’s
talk is aimed primarily at the beginners/intermediary members. It
covers issues like composition, lighting, depth of field and “the photographic
triangle. After the refreshment interval
Mervyn will show the same image printed on different papers and offer reasons
why he chooses different types of papers for different images.Mervyn says, “I enjoy most genres of photography, though Portrait and Landscape photography are ‘at the top of my list’.
Taking photographs is ‘an addiction’ and I cannot go anywhere without looking for images to record.
My photographs of miners of the Tower Colliery have featured

prominently in my panels for ARPS and MFIAP.
As I live about ten minutes drive from the Brecon Beacons I have plenty of opportunity to record landscapes in this beautiful national park.”
This promises to be an informative and interesting evening so we hope to see you there.
