This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome for the first time Ralph Snook  ARPS, EFIAP as their speaker on Friday 14th February, giving an illustrated talk, ‘A selection of current work’.

Ralph says: “I have been taking photographs for 30 years plus.  It has always been outdoor focussed with nature and landscape predominating.  In the last 4/5 years I have been lucky enough to do quite a lot of travelling and indulge my loves of photography and nature.  This travel has covered Africa, Florida, the Pantanal, Spitsbergen and a few other places.

Often my version of ‘nature’ does not meet the demanding criteria of such organisations as the RPS (as I found out when preparing for my ARPS), but I like to capture some ‘different’ images of the subject to bring out something of the moment or subject, in particular I use slow shutter speeds to exaggerate movement.”

For more examples of what is in store on the evening, pop onto Ralph's website.

This promises to be an interesting evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
