This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome Stephen Spraggon, as their speaker on Friday 4th October giving an illustrated talk ‘Welcome to my outdoor office’.

Stephen says:  "Landscape photography is my escape from the 'real' world. When I am out in the field making pictures the only thing that matters is the light and where I place the camera. The challenge is to make the best of the conditions I am presented with and plan ahead to create a resolved picture rather than a 'snap'.

In the digital age it is easy to tweak and manipulate pictures to a great extent. I however prefer to recreate a scene as I saw it, using minimal post-processing. I am also interested in the creative potential of the camera to capture the passage of time in a way that our naked eyes can't see, using long exposures both during the day and at night”.

This promises to be an excellent evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol  BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
