Kingswood Photographic Society is
absolutely delighted to welcome Chris Mowthorpe ARPS
as
their speaker on Friday 10 May, giving an illustrated talk, ‘From Lith to Lightroom’.
Chris says: “Portraying the landscape in
Monochrome has always been a passion of mine. By removing the distraction of
colour, it allows the viewer to explore the patterns, textures, shapes and
tones that are an inherent part of the monochrome image.
During my time using a darkroom, my journey led me to discover Lith printing which is a magical process and one I miss the most having moved over to digital. Since making the move, I have had to learn to print again in the digital world - an interesting journey to say the least !!

I predominantly photograph the landscape but do occasionally venture into other subject matter, depending on where I am and what catches my eye.”
This certainly promises to be an absolutely superb evening so we hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS
meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30
5JJ. Visitors are most welcome and
the cost for this evening is £3.00.
