This Friday at KPS .....

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome David Bathard FRPS, as their speaker on Friday 31st May giving an illustrated talk ‘New Horizons’.

David says:  "I remember going on holiday just after I was married in 1970 to Ibiza when they had thrown out the Hippies for drug taking, how things have changed.  Back then, I was using an Instamatic Camera and have taken over 36 exposures.  I still have all of those photos in an Album somewhere, how things have changed.

With long distance travel becoming evermore common and images taken by the thousands, what do we decide to preserve and how do we use those images?  My ‘New Horizons’ may be the same as yours, but do we use our images in the same way?

My talk will be in both Projected Images and Prints.”

This promises to be an interesting evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol  BS30 5JJ.  Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.

NEXT WEEK, there is a CHANGE IN PROGRAMME, Hugh Milsom & Pat Broad will now be at KPS on Friday 9th August 2013.

On Friday 7th June, it will be the first of the Society’s summer outings, which is a guided walk, seeing some of the University of Bristol’s historic buildings in Clifton.
