On
Friday 7th December, Kingswood
Photographic Society is delighted that their Chairman, Geoff Nash, has agreed
to show us some of his images.
Geoff says, “I have been interested
in photography for many years and was just a happy snapper right up to the time
of a conversation, in 1981/82, with a good friend of mine; the late Vivian
Croucher and it was he who invited me to join KPS.
Although Landscape
photography is my real favourite I do in fact take quite a variety of subjects
and currently I am trying my hand at street photography.
It is my love of the
outdoors which determines that my vacations are not spent sitting on beaches
but in travelling and taking pictures.
I was content producing
monochrome prints in the darkroom although I also worked with colour negative
and Cibachrome images.
Eventually, however,
reluctantly I gave in to Digital and purchased my first digi camera in 2007.
All of my work nowadays comes via the PC.
Not so satisfying but that’s
progress!”
As you will see from these images, this promises
to be a really good evening so we hope to see you.
Visitors are very
welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00. Kingswood PS meets on Fridays at 7.15pm for 7.30pm
at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.
