This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome back, Ray Grace  ARPS, DPAGB as their speaker on Friday 30th November givine an illustrated talk Before and After - Nice is not good enough.

Ray says: “My photographic interests are landscape, which I try to combine with my love of hill walking, wildlife and flora, particularly macro. I love the lumpy landscape and enjoy trying to capture the beautiful form and shape that nature is capable of creating. The same is true of my flora picture where I try to capture the pattern and design elements.

I am an avid believer in trying to produce images that people enjoy looking at and, to that end, I use the post production tools to the best of my ability to do that, once I have the captured image. KPS Members who know me will already be aware that I’m a great advocate of the power and capability of Photoshop and how it can help to bring out the feeling and emotion that was felt when the picture was taken. I try to get the best from my images and I want to try and encourage others to do the same and that is the aim of this presentation. Knowledge should be shared and I derive pleasure from encouraging newcomers and beginners to photography and Photoshop to produce better than ‘nice’ images. ‘Nice’ is not good enough. I want to encourage imaging with conviction.”

As you will have gathered from the above, this promises to be an excellent evening and for more examples of Ray’s style of photography, pop onto his website, http://www.raygracephotography.co.uk.
