Ray says: “My photographic interests are landscape, which I try to combine with my love of hill walking, wildlife and flora, particularly macro. I love the lumpy landscape and enjoy trying to capture the beautiful form and shape that nature is capable of creating. The same is true of my flora picture where I try to capture the pattern and design elements.
I am an avid believer
in trying to produce images that people enjoy looking at and, to that end, I
use the post production tools to the best of my ability to do that, once I have
the captured image. KPS Members who know me will already be aware that I’m a great
advocate of the power and capability of Photoshop and how it can help to bring
out the feeling and emotion that was felt when the picture was taken. I try to
get the best from my images and I want to try and encourage others to do the
same and that is the aim of this presentation. Knowledge should be shared and I
derive pleasure from encouraging newcomers and beginners to photography and
Photoshop to produce better than ‘nice’ images. ‘Nice’ is not good enough. I
