11 November 2012

This Friday at KPS ...

On 16 November, Kingswood Photographic Society has its Annual General Meeting.  It is a Members only night, giving them the chance to ‘thank you’ to the retiring Committee for their hard work and to celebrate the successes of the year.  Tonight is also the time for Members to elect their 2012/13 Committee.

We hope to see you there and we promise you will not get a job on the Committee if you don’t put your hand up at the wrong time!  Seriously, though if you would like to be more involved in your Society, please contact either your Chairman, Geoff Nash, or Hon Secretary, Alison Price.  The position vacant is the Hon Secretary.  It is not an arduous task that could simply be pared down to sending out papers for the Committee Meetintgs, of which there are about five a year, and taking notes at each meeting and doing the same for the Annual General Meeting.

REMEMBER, it is also HAND IN for the final Quarterly Competition.  The pressure is on those who are in the lead to retain their positions!  Competitions are a great opportunity to receive feedback on your images and to see other members’ work.

NEXT WEEK, we welcome Terry Nicholls who will take us on a journey across The Rocky Mountains from the Mile High City to the Golden Gate Bridge.
