On
Friday 17th August, Kingswood
Photographic Society will be showing the Western
Counties (WCPF) 2012 Travelling Print Critique.
The purpose of the Critique is to encourage clubs simply to devote an evening
to look at and appreciate good quality prints that, due to space restrictions, were
not hung in the WCPF 2012 Annual
Exhibition. The exhibition space restricts hanging to a maximum of 150 prints
but several hundred prints of equal quality were not exhibited. It is from these that the Travelling Critique
selection is made, ensuring that no one person or club dominates the selection.
There are a
number of ways that clubs can view the prints but the object is to look closely
at each image and appreciate why the picture was taken and what the
photographer was trying to show. The WCPF
Travelling Print Critique nights are always interesting and enjoyable so we
hope to see you.
Kingswood PS meets Fridays at 7.30pm at St
Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are very welcome and the cost for
this evening is £3.00.
