Penny
& Spike are members of Dorchester
Camera Club and as such enjoy many aspects of photography and club activities.
Both were born on the coast and they
have been interested in the marine environment since childhood. They have been taking underwater photographs for many years. Since joining BSOUP (British Society of Underwater Photographers) the interest has developed into more of a passion not just for taking photographs of marine life but also for finding out more about lesser know aspects of their lives and environment.

As a diver Spike is able to explore many of the Macro subjects on the seabed and in the reefs, while Penny as a keen snorkeler often records the area of transition between air and water and will show prints from her “Snorkeler’s World” series.
The evening is a mixed bag of short AVs, Prints and Projected Images of ‘critters’ that will introduce you to the amazing life under the waves in a variety of locations with different types of environments.
This promises to be an absolutely superb evening and for a sample of the treats that are in store for us of sights offered by our natural world which most of us do not experience, visit the members’ galleries on the Dorchester club site, www.dorchestercameraclub.co.uk.
Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
