This Friday at KPS ...

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome Bob Bishop for the first time as their speaker on Friday 20th April, giving an illustrated talk.

Bob says, "I have been taking photographs for most of my adult life but since I retired I have devoted much more time to my photography. My first love is landscape photography. There is nothing better than being in a superb location particularly just before dawn with the anticipation of what is going to happen. As the light intensifies so does the emotion of being able to experience nature’s daily cabaret. The thrill of being able to capture that emotion and convey it in an image makes the experience even more rewarding.

In addition to landscapes, I also enjoy gig and concert photography. This produces very different emotions!! Going from being at peace with the world to being thrust in front of artists whose music you don’t necessarily enjoy, with a screaming audience behind you and just 10-12 minutes to get your images, is quite an adrenaline rush!!!

I have recently enjoyed producing AVs and the very different challenges that produces. The coming together of music and images is a whole new concept which produces its own rewards."

As you can tell, this promises to be an absolutely superb evening so we hope to see you there.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley,
Bristol BS30 5JJ
. Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
