Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to welcome back, Alan Millward FRPS, FPSA, MPAGB, HonPAGB and Anne Millward FRPS, EFIAP as their speakers on Friday 30th March giving an illustrated talk.
Alan Millward FRPS, FPSA, MPAGB, HonPAGB is a double fellow of the RPS with monochrome environmental people images. He also enjoys taking colour landscape, nature and travel images. He was awarded the RPS Fenton medal for services to photography.
He has lectured on photography throughout the UK and seven other countries. An enthusiastic exhibitor, Alan has over 3500 international acceptances and has judged at over 70 international exhibitions in eight countries. He is a past chairman of the Midland and London salons. He has served on RPS Distinctions panels for over 20 years and is currently a member of the Travel Panel. Last year he became an invited member of the Honours committee of the Photographic Society of America.
Anne Sutcliffe (aka Mrs Millward) FRPS, EFIAP describes herself as a creative photographer. Her images cover a wide range of subjects and have been described as seeing where no-one else would think to look, pastel or pale and interesting. She is remembered for her images of ladies loos.
Anne has also lectured widely in the UK as well as the USA and Eire. She too exhibits but cannot claim as many acceptances as Alan. Equally her record of international exhibitions judged is shorter and extends to only 5 countries. She is a past chairman of the RPS Licentiateship Panel and has recently been promoted to the Visual Art Panel. Last year she was elected to the Advisory Board of the Royal Photographic Society. She is an invited member of the Eyecon group and the London Salon. Visit her website www.annesutcliffe.com
Alan & Anne say, “Together we try to show how two photographers can visit the same place but end up with completely different images.”
This promises to be an absolutely superb evening so we hope to see you there.
Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are most welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.
