A group called Photographers with Disabilities (PwD) has been formed for the benefit of disabled people to develop, practice and enjoy the art of photography. It has now been granted charitable status. Visit our website, www.photographerswithdisabilities.com for more information about this group.
PwD is based in a barrier free studio at the Ridgewood Community Centre, Yate. The room has been set up as photographic studio and we are inviting other clubs to come and use the facilities so they also can enjoy studio work.
We do not have a hire charge as such, but we would like a donation to help with the hire of the room usually about £30 for a 2 to 3 hour session. A group or individuals can hire this studio. We have a number of lights and back drops and there is a kitchen included so coffee and tea can be made.
Hiring times can be between 9am and 10pm any day of the week, but please contact us to see about availability. Weekend hire and evenings need a few days notice but the rest of the week is mostly flexible.
