This Friday at KPS and the next few weeks ...

For our penultimate summer outing this year, Friday, 22nd July, KPS will be visiting Bristol University Botanical Gardens. Meet in the car park at 6.30pm. The normal entry fee, £3.50 is being waived, but we suggest members make a minimum contribution of £2 per head, towards the upkeep of these gardens.

We will have private access to the Garden and the Hothouses but have been asked to remember when moving from one hothouse to another that we leave the sliding doors as we find them (either open or closed) according to the required temperature for that part.

These Botanical Gardens are located at 'The Holmes', Stoke Park Road, Stoke Bishop, Bristol BS9 1JG. Cross the Downs and go down Stoke Hill towards Stoke Bishop, turn right into Stoke Park Road and the Garden is on your right.

This should be an interesting night as we have access to the gardens and hothouses. It is also an opportunity for members to spend time taking photographs, sharing their knowledge or simply socialising. For more information pop onto their website, http://www.bristol.ac.uk/Depts/BotanicGardens.

On Friday 29th July Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to be able to welcome Riccardo Busi MFIAP as their speaker, giving his illustrated print talk entitled ‘An evening with Riccardo Busi from Italy’. Riccardo, who is the General Secretary of FIAP, is a travel and nature photographer. His interest in photography stems from 1974, working both in B/W and Colour. He is presently coordinator and trainer of photography courses and workshops (advanced and beginner course of nature and travel) and collaborator of “Panda Photo” Photographic Agency - Rome.

He will only be visiting three clubs during his time in the UK, Dorchester, Bristol and Kingswood. So, if you enjoy seeing superb quality and breath taking images, Friday 29th July with a top International nature and travel photographer is simply one not to miss ....

Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are very welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.

Our final summer outing this year is on Friday 5th August Second Severn Crossing we hope you will join us at the Second Severn Crossing, meeting at Severn Beach by the information centre at 7.00pm.
