This Friday at KPS …

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to be able to welcome for the first time Peter Berry as their speaker on Friday 1st July, giving his illustrated print talk entitled ‘Zimbabwe Steam Safari and Sub-Zero China’.

Peter says: “I have enjoyed taking photographs since the mid 1960’s, as well as developing and printing my own black & white prints some years ago. Photography, world travel and steam locomotives go together so well, and there is no finer subject than to capture a steam locomotive working hard somewhere in the world. Whether I point my camera at a lion in Africa, an albatross on the Galapagos or a steam locomotive struggling up the Khyber Pass makes no difference ... they are all living creatures in their own environment. In order to find the last remaining working steam locos in the world, you have to visit places where no one in their right mind would to ... but that is half the fun ... and of course ‘people watching’ is just as exciting!!”

Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are very welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00.

This promises to be an excellent evening so we hope to see you there.
