This Friday at KPS

Kingswood Photographic Society is absolutely delighted to be able to welcome back Peter Bamforth ARPS as their speaker on Friday 15th April, giving his illustrated print talk entitled ‘What’s New?’.

Peter says: “I started photographing when I was very young and continued throughout my school days. During my working life I was preoccupied with my job in computers and had hardly enough time to take holiday snaps although the positions I held for the last 20 years before retirement involved extensive travel. It wasn’t until I retired that I found myself with enough time to really explore the pleasure of photography.

Travel inspires me to pick up my camera. Whether it's Scotland or Tibet the urge to tell a story through photographs is very strong. Hopefully, the photographs I bring back and the stories I tell help to convey to some who have not been as fortunate as me, the same pleasure I get from seeing new sights and meeting new people.”

This promises to be an excellent evening. For a taster of some of the treats that are in store, look at Peter’s images on the Chichester CC Members' Gallery. Visitors are always very welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00. Kingswood PS meets Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.

We hope to see you there.
