KPS this Friday

Kingswood Photographic Society has a studio night, and it is by popular request that Steve Cox is once again guiding us. In this indoor studio session Steve will show us how to shoot our model in Film Noir style.

We'll be attempting to create those moody monochrome scenes from the B-movie classics of the 30s and 40s. All you need do is to bring your camera and shoot in RAW.

Kingswood PS meet Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ. Visitors are welcome to join us and the cost for non-members on a Studio Night is £5.00.

Who Are KPS?

Kingswood Photographic Society is one of the UK’s leading photographic groups, having been formed in 1948 by a handful of keen photographers.
Over the years, KPS has become renowned for the quality of its annual programme, with an emphasis on well-known outside speakers from around the UK. In addition, members run other evenings, with the aim of sharing their knowledge with others. Practical and competition evenings make up the balance of the programme, with AV being the latest innovation.
Within our normal programme, we hold a number of digital workshops. These are some of the reasons KPS attracts an enthusiastic, talented and friendly membership. Above all, the programme is designed to suit photographers of all ages and abilities.
