This Friday at KPS

Kingswood Photographic Society is delighted to be able to welcome Peter Basterfield ARPS as their speaker on Friday 21st January, giving his illustrated print talk entitled ‘Adventures of an Amateur Natural History Bird Fanatic’.

Peter is a leading photographer of bird life around the world. He has had a passion for photography and birding for many years, which first started at 13 when Eric Hosking OBE, Hon FRPS, FBIPP (1909 –1991) gave a lecture at his school. Peter was hooked and many a dawn chorus saw him out at 3.00am with a thermos and sandwiches, not returning home until dusk.

Since retirement Peter has led wildlife trips to all parts of the world. He says that birding and photography have always been and continue to be an important part of his life and that he cannot contemplate being without either.

Visitors are always very welcome and the cost for this evening is £3.00. Kingswood PS meets Fridays at 7.30pm for 7.45pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Warmley, Bristol BS30 5JJ.
