I was introduced to a great location yesterday for a shoot, the third great location this year.
Along with a group of other Strobist off-camera flash enthusiasts and almost as many models, I set off for an abandoned naval base near Corsham in Wiltshire.
Having signed our public safety waivers, we were free to wander round and capture some great images in the graffiti-covered overgrown huts and warehouses.
It brought home to me (again) that even though many of us hanker for a studio, there’s great fun to be had by moving the studio outside and working with the backdrops that the world provides for free.
Here’s a sample shot from yesterday’s effort (with grateful thanks to the organizers).
